Medford, MA Airplane Noise July 2019

A message from CITY OF MEDFORD
Hello, This is Mayor Stephanie M. Burke
I know many of you are experiencing issues regarding airplane noise in the City of Medford. I call today to assure you that the City remains committed to advocating for Medford residents surrounding this important issue.

We have been working diligently with both state and federal authorities to encourage the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to reconsider flight routes that are exposing our residents to unacceptable levels of noise, pollution and additional complications caused by airplane noise.

Massport is the official agency responsible for handling complaints regarding airplane noise and complaints can be filed online or over the phone at the Massport Noise Complaint Line (617) 561-3333. This line is staffed by the agency’s Noise Abatement Office from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on business days. Calls made during off hours are directed to an automated message line.

Thank you for your patience regarding this important issue.
