Medford Fire Fighters Start Hurricane Sandy Relief Effort To Help Hoboken New Jersey

(Medford, MA   The Medford Fire Department with the help of local sponsors is conducting a hurricane relief item drive. Several Medford Fire Fighters reached out to the city of Hoboken, New Jersey to see if they needed assistance after seeing how hard they were hit by Hurricane Sandy. Hoboken officials called back saying that they are in desperate need of help. Items needed include but are not limited to: warm clothes, canned food items, water, blankets, baby formula, and diapers, flashlights, D batteries, baby formula, baby food, adult diapers, toilet paper and toothpaste.  The items will be loaded on a tractor trailer and transported personally by a group of off duty firefighters to the city of Hoboken, New Jersey on the morning of November 17th.  The people of Hoboken are in dire need of these supplies and it is asked  that if you are able to help, you are welcome to drop off supplies at any of the 6 fire stations in the city of MedfordClick Here For Link to All Medford, MA Fire Stations. Also you can drop off at the Medford Police Station at 100 Main St. All supplies must be dropped off by 5:00 pm on Friday Nov. 16th, 2012  since they are leaving at 1:00 am to head down to New Jersey!!
