Local Homeless Shelter Needs Household Goods

(Somerville, MA) A local homeless shelter needs household items. Asking for anyone with yard sale items or other household items such as:

  • Twin sized bedding - doesn't have to be matching 
  • Pots & pans - for shelter cooking by residents
  • Bedding / Blankets - doesn't have to be matching or fancy - twin size bed 
  • Storage containers - plastic bins for clothing also for food storage
  • Utensils - for cooking & eating
  • Cups - coffee mugs, drinking cups - dishwasher friendly preferred
  • Extension cords
  • Raincoats, umbrellas, towels
  • Serving bowls
  • Re-usable ice packs
  • Back-packs / messenger bags / laundry bags
  • Clothes Irons / ironing boards
  • Table lamps / lightbulbs
  • Old DVD movies of any type
  • Reading Books
  • Writing paper / pens / envelopes
  • Electric fans
If you're moving or clearing out household goods and would like to donate them they can be dropped off at The Somerville Homeless Coalition Shelter located at 14 Chapel St. Somerville, MA 02144 (Davis Square). The side door entrance on Chapel St. of The Holy Baptist Church. Hours to drop off are Monday through Friday 4pm - 10pm , Saturday anytime and Sunday anytime after holy services due to parking congestion. Please call 617-623-2546 and speak with a staff member, assistance gladly provided to unload items from your vehicle.
