National Drinking Water Week

Clean drinking water...not self-evident for ev...Image via Wikipedia

(Medford, MA) This week May 1-7, 2011 is National Drinking Water Week. The Massachusetts Water Resource Authority (MWRA) made the following public bulletin drinkingwaterweek . I have to say we're really lucky in this area to have such a great source of public water available to us. I've tasted water in other parts of the country and what's publicly available can sometimes leave alot to be desired. With the exception of the huge water main break last year which forced around 2 million local people to have to boil water, we sometimes don't appreciate what having a clean, safe & tested source of water immediately available to us really is.

Many places in the world aren't as lucky as we are, we even have available to us online the results of local water quality testing through the Mass Official Website (http://www.mass.gov/) here at http://www.mwra.state.ma.us/watertesting/watertests.htm

So lift a glass & think of all the work that goes into getting that water to your lips. MMMMMMM
