A message from CITY OF MEDFORD, MA

This is a reminder to all participants of the City's trash and recycling program. You are required to schedule a pickup of any bulk items that cannot fit into your trash cart. These include such things as old furniture, mattresses, carpeting, etc. Smaller items should be placed into your trash cart. We encourage you to first seek reuse options for these items through the Salvation Army, Goodwill and others before using the City's collection system. To schedule a bulk item collection call 1-800-972-4545. Bulk items will be collected only on your normal recycling collection day. Bulk item collection does not include construction materials such as doors, windows, sheet rock, wood, etc. You must contact a private contractor for removal of construction waste. You should continue to purchase stickers from the Medford DPW office in City Hall to have metal appliances, white goods and TV's collected. Thank-you for your cooperation.
